Five Rivers Environmental Education Center offers thematic educational kits featuring biological specimens, posters and curriculum enhancement ideas. Funded by Friends of Five Rivers, the kits are available to teachers and youth leaders by mail or pick up, and may be borrowed for up to two weeks. Kits picked up at the Center carry no charge. To have a kit mailed, postage must be paid in advance.
Monarch Butterflies (grades pre-K -3)

Amphibians (grades K-8)

Mammals (grades K-8)

Wild Turkeys (grades K-8)

Reptiles (grades K-8)

River Life (grades 3 - 8)

Honey Bees (grades 3 - 8)

Climate Change (grades 3-8)

- If you are unable to pick up kits at Five Rivers and would like them mailed to you, please contact the center at [email protected] or (518) 475-0291 for shipping prices. Kits are mailed via USPS. Shipping costs vary based on the weight of the kit and the destination.
- A check covering the cost of postage (made out to Friends of Five Rivers) must be received before the kits are shipped.
- Kit(s) will be mailed 3 days prior to requested date; we cannot guarantee arrival date.
- Borrowers are responsible for shipping kits back to Five Rivers or hand-delivering them.
