FMC Corporation submitted an application to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) for initial issuance of a State 6 NYCRR Part 373 Hazardous Waste Management Permit for their FMC Middleport facility (FMC) located in Middleport, Niagara County. This application has been reviewed by the NYSDEC and determined to be complete in accordance with the applicable regulations.

Based on FMC's complete application, NYSDEC has made a tentative determination to issue FMC's Permit and has prepared a Draft Permit for public review. As a part of the permitting process, NYSDEC is soliciting public input through a legislative hearing process and written comment period.

Public Availability Session, Public Legislative Hearing, Comment Period

  • Public Availability Sessions - September 27, 2017 from 12:00 - 1:00p.m. and 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
  • Legislative/Public Comment Hearing - September 27, 2017 beginning at 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

All are scheduled at the Middleport Fire Department, 28 Main Street, Middleport, New York.

A written public comment period has been established from August 16, 2017 through October 20, 2017.
