DEC is in the preliminary stage of developing new 6 NYCRR Subpart 368-4 regulations to support implementation of the Carpet Collection Program Law (Law). DEC invites stakeholders to attend a virtual public meeting, via WebEx, on the proposed regulations under consideration. DEC will present an overview of the enacted law and discuss a variety of potential regulatory additions with the goal of clarifying and expanding upon the existing statute for the benefit of all those impacted by the Law. Please note that DEC is soliciting feedback on these initial regulatory concepts, will post them categorically on this webpage in advance of the meeting, and will post the recording of the meeting afterward. Additionally, please note that this a pre-rulemaking meeting and DEC anticipates releasing a proposed rule with additional public comment opportunities in the future.
