Participate in a free beginner's fishing clinic hosted by NYSDEC and Dutchess County Sportsmen Federation at Overlook Park Pond in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County on Sunday, 4/21 from 9 AM – 1 PM. In addition to casting a rod and catching fish, participants can learn about fish identification, fishing equipment and techniques, fisheries management, angling ethics, aquatic ecology, and more! No freshwater fishing license is required during the event, and all equipment and bait will be provided for free.
