Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve UMP

The Dr. Victor Reinstein Woods is a nature preserve with old growth forests, in Cheektowaga, New York. The approved UMP for Reinstein Woods establishes goals, objectives and specific management actions to guide DEC's management activities at the Woods for the next 20 years.

The plan was developed by a team of DEC staff, including biologists, educators, a forester, and communication services staff. The plan identifies the natural and physical resources present at the Woods and discusses management needs and goals for the property.
