In accordance with the State Open Space Conservation Plan, the Bureau of Real Property performs all aspects of the land and conservation easement acquisition process, from appraisals and boundary surveys through negotiations and contracts.

Annual Land Acquisition Reports
The commissioners of DEC and OPRHP (NYS Parks) annually report their land acquisition activities for the preceding calendar year to the governor and appropriate legislative leaders, as required by State Environmental Protection Fund Legislation.
The reports below document land acquisition activities undertaken using funding from multiple sources such as the Environmental Protection Fund, the Natural Resources Damage Fund, Clean Water/Clean Air Bond Act, Court of Claims, Pittman-Robertson Act Funds and Federal Forest Legacy Funds.
