- Project Description:
The City of Hornell has applied to renew and modify their Part 360 Solid Waste Management Permit to increase capacity for land application of stabilized sludge, up to 600 dry tons annually, at three locations: 1) Town of Hornellsville near Dewey Rd and Upper Glen Ave; 2) Town of Hornellsville near Old County 64 and East Ave; and 3) Town of Howard south of Co Rt 10 where Smith Rd meets Co Rt 109. The total acreage to be utilized for landspreading will be 389.2 acres upon lands previously permitted. The draft permit includes revisions to reflect updated Part 360 and Part 361 Regulations, including new soil pH requirements. The file is available for review and comment electronically by email to [email protected], or at the NYSDEC Region 8 office in person as long as applicable COVID-19 guidance allows.

Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was not performed.

- State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
- The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The application type is exempt and/or the project involves the continuation of an existing operational activity.
- Coastal Management:
- This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
