Negative Declaration
Essex County - Essex County, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Essex County Agricultural and Youth Center will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of an Agricultural and Youth Center building will accommodate various agencies of Essex County located at the Essex County Fairgrounds, 3 Sisco Street, Westport, New York. The site contains existing utilities such as a water, sewer, electrical and driveway access. The construction activities include excavation for foundation, and utility connections, backfill, grading, framing and finishing an 8,000 sq. ft. four-season building. New parking areas will accommodate the users of the Fairgrounds and the new office space. Topsoil and native plantings and vegetation will be established in disturbed areas. The project is located at 3 Sisco Street in the Town of Westport, New York.
