Set in the valley between Lyon and Ellenburg mountains, Chazy Lake has some beautiful views. The lake runs mainly north to south. It has a good fishery and is quite popular.

Access:
DEC boat launch with a hard surface ramp is located off Route 374, five miles west of the Village of Dannemora. It has parking for 20 cars and trailers.

Fish Species:
Lake trout, landlocked salmon, rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, northern pike, brown bullhead, yellow perch, rainbow smelt, and pumpkinseed.
Fishing:
The lake trout, rainbow trout and landlocked salmon fishing is concentrated in the center of the lake over the deepest water. Spoons and crankbaits in silver or silver/blue work the best. The northern pike were an illegal introduction. While not very numerous, the pike can attain large sizes.
