Earlville State Forest is 634 acres with an elevation of nearly 1600 feet. One can hike into the forest using the public forest access road (PFAR) which doubles as a snowmobile trail in the winter. There are no formal trails on this property but hiking is allowed anywhere unless posted otherwise.

Directions

Travel north from the traffic light in Earlville approximately 1 mile. Turn left (west) onto Lebanon Road and go 1.5 miles. Turn left onto Morgan Road and up the hill to the State forest. Trapporgan Road and the PFAR are not plowed during winter months.

All users of Earlville State Forest must follow all State Land Use Regulations and should follow all Outdoor Safety Practices for the safety of the user and protection of the resource.

DEC manages these lands in accordance with the management activities described in the Lebanon Hills Unit Management Plan (PDF). In addition to management objectives, the UMP contains detailed information on natural features, recreational infrastructure, geology, natural and human history, habitats, wildlife, fisheries and much more.
