Franklin Falls Flow is an Impoundment on the Saranac River. Much of the lake is shallow (less than 10 feet deep), so boaters need to be cautious. The lake features a view of Whiteface Mountain.

Access
There is a DEC fishing access site off of County Route 18 (River Road). It has a beach launch with numerous rocks present which can make launching difficult.

Walleye, northern pike, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, rock bass, pumpkinseed, and bullhead
Fishing
Walleye is king here, so trolling and drifting in the old river channels with crawler harnesses, jig/worm, or jig/minnow can work well. Spring time brown bullhead fishing is also popular and is possible at several shoreline locations.

Fisheries Management
Franklin Falls Flow is managed as a warmwater fishery. Walleye fingerlings were stocked from 1998-2002, and walleye fry were stocked here for many years prior.
