Fishing:
Glenwood Lake is a hydroelectric reservoir created around 1925 by damming Oak Orchard Creek. The NYS Barge Canal is a major tributary and fisheries influence. Water level fluctuations caused by hydroelectric dam operation likely limit shoreline spawning. The deeper portions of the reservoir are devoid of oxygen.
