Lake Welch is located on the east side of Harriman State Park and offers anglers the opportunity to catch various warmwater fish, including largemouth and smallmouth bass, chain pickerel, and panfish. Surveys have shown excellent populations of large size bluegill, pumpkinseed, and largemouth bass. Shore access is plentiful, and there's a hand launch located on the west side of the lake. You might have company while fishing this lake, as there's a swimming beach and a campground located on the northeast side of the lake.
