Queechy Lake offers anglers a wide variety of angling opportunities. It has shallow weedy areas for bass, pickerel and panfish and deep cold water areas for trout. It's up to you to figure out what type of fish you want to target. The lake is stocked with approximately 1,500-2,000 brown trout and 1,500-2,000 rainbow trout each spring. Trout hold over in the lake, and reports of 20 inch trout are not unheard of. Largemouth bass are plentiful in the 12 to 14 inch range with larger fish available. Occasional smallmouth bass can be caught. Bluegills are plentiful with 8 inchers common and occasional bluegills up to 10 inches.
Ice Fishing:
Permitted.
