Round Pond is a small, shallow lake located in Chenango County near the Hamlet of Smithville Flats. Round Pond is part of the 3,250 acre Long Pond State Forest area.

Access:
Long Pond State Forest, off Round Pond Road. No official launch area but anglers park along road and carry water craft to the water. Hand launch.

Fish Species:
Chain pickerel, largemouth bass, pumpkinseed sunfish, and bluegill.
Fishing:
Because of the abundant vegetation, fishing early or late in the season is recommended. As is using weed less lures if fishing for the chain pickerel or largemouth bass.
