Access:
Access is provided by the Taconic State Park and Recreation Commission. A permit is required from park manager. Located off Rte 62. Two miles north of Millerton. Parking available for 10 cars. No gas motors allowed.

Fish Species:
Largemouth bass, chain pickerel, bluegills, black crappie, and yellow perch.
Fishing:
Rudd Pond has great habitat for both largemouth bass and chain pickerel. Anglers report of having a lot of success catching both species using spinnerbaits and soft plastic minnow imitations on top of the weed beds. Also try using weedless jigs and texas-rigged worms in the 10-14' range during the day light hours. Rudd pond also has a good panfish population, including bluegills, black crappie, and yellow perch. Fishing with a bobber and nightcrawler/minnow in 6-8' of water will produce a lot of strikes.
