Fishing:
South Colwell Pond is located on Lakeview Wildlife Management Area. Ice fishing and early spring fishing for panfish is usually most productive. Dense aquatic vegetation may be a problem later in the season. Depending on lake currents, South Colwell Pond may be directly connected to Lake Ontario by a channel through the barrier beach. When the channel is open, Lake Ontario would be accessible to small boats.
