Walton Lake, located in the Town of Monroe, is stocked every spring with 3700 brown trout. The water in Walton Lake is fairly clear, so natural colored baits tend to work best.

Access:
NYS DEC access carry-down on Lakes Road, 2 miles southwest of Monroe with parking for 10 cars. There are no gas motors allowed.

Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Brown Trout, Chain Pickerel, Rock Bass, Black Crappie, Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, and Yellow Perch.
Fishing:
The shallow water on the northeast and southwest ends are good places to try for both bass and trout. Shore access is limited; it is suggested that you bring a canoe or car-top boat.
