Non Ambulatory Hunter Permit

License Details

This permit authorizes individuals with a physical disability (verified by a licensed physician) to hunt with a firearm from a motorized vehicle during hunting seasons.

Fee

There is no fee for this license.

Duration

5-year license or until the permit holder is no longer non-ambulatory, whichever occurs first.

What This License Allows

Using a firearm from a vehicle with the motor turned off during an open firearm hunting season.

What This License Does Not Allow

  • Having more than one loaded firearm in the vehicle.
  • Having a loaded firearm in or on a motor vehicle between sunset and sunrise.

  • Modified Longbow Authorization - allows hunters with a physical disability (verified by a licensed physician) to use a bow equipped with a mechanical device for holding and releasing the bowstring.
  • Modified Crossbow Permit - authorizes hunters with a permanent physical disability (verified by a licensed physician) to use a crossbow equipped with a breath-tube apparatus for releasing the bowstring.
