Buy your sporting license by phone at 1-866-933-2257 

When purchasing online or over the phone and you request to have your items printed and mailed, you will be charged a $2 fee. Printing and mailing fees can be avoided if you choose to have your transaction emailed to you or to print your items from your online account. If you choose to print your transaction at home, once your transaction is complete, you will be able to download and print the items you purchased as well as receiving them in an email. Do not print licenses and tags double-sided. If you choose to have your transaction mailed, you will need to allow up to 14 business days for it to arrive. If you need to have a mailed transaction replaced before 14 business days, replacement fees would apply unless you choose to print your items from your online account. Please note that Habitat and Access Stamps ordered online or over the phone will be emailed, not mailed. You may also get licenses in person at a license issuing agent near you.

Important Information

Before making an online or phone purchase through our automated licensing system, please review the following:

• Hunting Licenses/Tags:
  • NEW in the 2024-25 license year. All licenses, carcass tags and other items sold will be printed on plain paper.
  • Licenses ordered online can be printed at the end of your transaction. They will also be delivered to you via email and available in your online DECALS account under your ‘Active Licenses, Permits & Privileges’.
  • Licenses ordered over the phone will be delivered by email. You can also request to have your licenses and tags mailed to you, but you will be charged an additional $2 fee and will need to allow up to 14 business days to receive them. If you need to have a mailed transaction replaced before 14 business days, replacement fees would apply unless you choose to print your items from your online account.
  • The 2025-26 season licenses and deer management permits will go on sale the week of August 1, 2025.
  • New annual licenses go on sale in August each year.
  • Hunting and Trapping licenses are valid from September 1 - August 31 annually.
• Fishing Licenses and Recreational Marine Fishing Registry:
  • When making an online transaction you will automatically be sent an email with your license upon completion of the sale. Replacement licenses can be printed from the original email you received after purchase or by logging into you online profile.
  • When making a phone transaction, you will be given your 12-digit DEC ID number that can be used as valid proof of your fishing or marine registry. Fishing licenses will also be delivered to you via email and available in your online DECALS account. You can also request to have your licenses mailed to you, but you will be charged an additional $2 fee and will need to allow up to14 business days to receive them. If you need to have a mailed transaction replaced before 14 business days, replacement fees would apply unless you choose to print your items from your online account.
• Trapping Licenses: Trapping licenses will be delivered to you via email and available in your online DECALS account. You can also request to have your licenses mailed to you, but you will be charged an additional $2 fee and will need to allow up to14 business days to receive them. If you need to have a mailed transaction replaced before 14 business days, replacement fees would apply unless you choose to print your items from your online account.
• Children 15 and younger: A parent/legal guardian must assist with purchases to validate information.
