Listed below are all the ways you can donate to benefit recreation and conservation in New York State.
License Issuing Agents (LIAs) have the option to charge a $1 print fee for all printed transactions carried out in DECALS to help cover the cost of supplies. Transactions made online or over the phone are subject to a $2 printing/mailing fee if those items are printed and mailed. These additional fees can be avoided by choosing to have your item emailed to you so you can print it at home.
With a $5 donation you can help fund DEC projects aimed at protecting and improving fish and wildlife habitat, and improving public access for fish and wildlife-related recreation.
Conservation Fund Donation
Your $1 or more donations will go towards the Conservation Fund, which is the primary funding source that supports the mission and activities of conserving New York State's fish, wildlife and marine resources. You can make your donation through the online license issuing system or at a license issuing agent location.
Return a Gift to Wildlife
You can make a donation of $1 or more when completing your state taxes to help support fish and wildlife conservation programs in New York State.
Trails Supporter Patch
For just $5 you can help support efforts in maintaining trails of the more than 3,500 state forests, wildlife management areas, forest preserves and multiple use areas managed by DEC.
Federal Duck Stamp
Help wetland conservation by purchasing an annual duck stamp for $25. This is a required purchase for waterfowl hunters nationwide, but anyone can purchase these stamps to help benefit bird species that depend on wetlands for survival.
Venison Donation
You can help provide meals to hungry New Yorkers with just $1 or by donating a deer to a local processor. Visit the link for details.
