Access For Anglers With Disabilities In West Central NY
The following is a list, by county, of fishing access sites for anglers with disabilities.
Although every effort is made to keep this information current, please confirm the availability of facilities with the appropriate DEC Regional Office.
Livingston County
Monroe County
- Black Creek- in the town of Chili on Black Creek Road.
- Genesee River - Rochester Naval Militia. East bank, near the northern end of Saint Paul Boulevard. Concrete shore fishing access with five accessible parking spots. No privy currently available. This site is located near the mouth of the Genesee River.
- Slater Creek - Beach Avenue adjacent to power plant warm water pond connected to Lake Ontario (Town of Greece)
Ontario County
- Canandaigua Lake / Woodville Boat Launch- in the town of S. Bristol, on Rte. 21, 3 miles north of the Village of Naples. Concrete boat launch, floating kayak/canoe Launch.
Orleans County
- Oak Orchard Creek - in Oak Orchard, along shoreline connecting Lake Ontario
Schuyler County
- Waneta and Lamoka Lakes - on Waneta-Lamoka Wildlife Management Area, in the town of Tyrone, shoreline and floating kayak/canoe launch.
Steuben County
- Birdseye Hollow State Forest
- Birdseye Hollow Pond has a path and bridge from the parking area to a floating fishing pier. Birdseye Hollow Park (leaves DEC website) is owned by Steuben County.
- Sanford Lake has a paved path from the parking area to a break wall along the shoreline.
Wayne County
- Port Bay- at north end of West Port Bay Road, north of the Village of Wolcott
Yates County
- West River - Town of Italy, on High Tor Wildlife Management Area, off of Rte. 245 concrete ramp, floating kayak/canoe launch and native soil shore path.
