Thank you to everyone who celebrated the New Year outdoors with a 2024 First Day Hike! Thousands of New Yorkers attended events at DEC lands, State Parks and historic sites, wildlife areas, Forest Preserve trails, canal trails and towpaths, and environmental education centers across New York State, marking 2024 as a record-breaking year for First Day Hikes.
