Audubon Community Nature Center

Five-and-a-half miles of easy trails take visitors through fields, forests and beside ponds. Diverse habitats provide the opportunity to see many types of wildlife. Those who prefer to remain indoors can view various wildlife at the feeders outside the Windows on Wildlife area.

What to Watch for

• Waterbirds, shorebirds, eastern bluebird, yellow warbler, red-winged black bird, catbird, feeder birds
• Painted and snapping turtle
• White-tailed deer, eastern cottontail, red squirrel
• Green frog, bull frog, leopard frog

• Ponds
• Hemlock and hardwood forests
• Look outs and photo blinds
• Fields

Recreational Opportunities

• Five and a half miles of trails with interpretive signs. Some are wheelchair accessible.
• Nature Center with hands-on displays, and "Discovery Room" with reptiles and amphibians
• Arboretum with 60 native trees
• 'Windows on Wildlife' indoor wildlife observation area
